Heteratopic Glitch_2008 https://publicart.ie/main/directory/directory/view/heteratopic-glitch/7d2482b4529fb9094b0848e8e8d19a75/Image 2, 3, 5 & 6 show Yvonne performing in Heteratopic Glitch. (She personally loves the legs akimbo) Creative Artists: Aideen Barry & Anne Ffrench. Description of work: Heteratopic Glitch is a performance work by artists Anne Ffrench and Aideen Barry originally commissioned for Kinsale Arts Week 2008. The brief was to create a performance work that would be publicly viewable, taking into account the historical coastal town of Kinsale in its presentation. The artists visited a number of sites and a couple of possibilities were taken into account. In the end the most obvious choice, and most accessible location for everyone was the harbour itself. The challenge then was to make something that was coming from both of their practices. The artist Aideen Barry comented: "I am preoccupied with notions of the uncanny, experiments in weightlessness and Anne too was interested in Endurance Performance which we both have a history of working in." Together they played with the idea of creating something that would defy gravity, and be accessible on a number of different levels to the community including residents, commercial groups and visitors to this coastal town. Aideen Barry, having grown up in Cork and a frequent visitor to Kinsale, was especially interested in making something quite unique, while Anne Ffrench had just moved to the area and was interested in including other members of the community into the creation of this work. "We received generous support from our volunteers (our elegant ladies) and the Kinsale Outdoor adventure centre who were outstanding in their support and health and safety concerns." Aideen Barry.

The O'Herne Identity-Trailer https://youtu.be/quZ_Ktk6XQITrailer for The O'Herne Identity by Michael Linehan. Directed by Yvonne Coughlan. Screening at Crane Lane Theatre, Cork City 8th Oct. 2010. The O'Herne Identity is 22minutes of action comedy. Writer: Michael Linehan. Director: Yvonne Coughlan. A freak accident involving Chronic Masturbatory Syndrome and radioactive waste leaves our hero 'Jack O'Herne' with the super-human ability to shoot acid from his body. His initial ignorance of his 'lethal weapon' results in the accidental death of his girlfriend, 'Niamh Collins'. The CIA captures him to extract his power, but, during his incarceration, Jack hones his skills and escapes. They hire a consultant, code name 'Nemesis,' whose motive is to avenge the death of the love of his life, Niamh, whom his once friend Jack stole. Nemesis gives the European Office of the CIA their own secret weapon, someone who knows how Jack thinks. The 'director' of European operations at the Cork base is not going to let cutbacks stand in the way of capturing the target. Agents are called in from all over the world and they are prepared to resort to civilian helicopters, and co-operating with MI6. Jack O'Herne's whole body is declared property of the Irish Government, and this is intended to be a live capture. What they don't realise is that Nemesis is not planning a live capture. Can O'Herne evade, out manoeuvre and outsmart all the assets and operatives this underfunded office, can throw at him? Will 'Nemesis' have his revenge? Find out as you are glued to the screen by the utterly fantastic nonsensically delightful absurdness of it all, or by a random child with a glue gun....

'Haunted History Tour' Cork City Gaol. 2007. https://youtu.be/EjprdT1JN5EThe Haunted History Tour written and directed by Yvonne Coughlan. 90 minute site specific promenade theatre by RSVP. Cork City Gaol. Ireland. 1 Feb-12 May, Thurs-Sat. 2007. The Haunted History Tour. 90 minute site specific promenade involving ten actors. Audience are treated as prisoners once they enter the prison and divided into four groups by their warders. Each audience group experiences 18th Century prison life and meets 'real' prisoners on this dramatic tour of the Gaol. Their warders must be obeyed. "An impressive cast of young actors has been assembled[...] The haunted ambience of this drama-cum-tour is brought to vivid life by a script full of historical erudition and the creation of a howling, murderous and haunted atmosphere that attests to the human suffering these walls must surely have borne witness to. [...] The script by Red Sandstone Varied Production's Yvonne Coughlan was excellent and the acting was enjoyably credible. [...] This is a memorable dramatic rendering of a vital part of Cork history and you must see it." Frank Hanover. Evening Echo. Feb. 2007.
